Life comes around full circle sometimes, and when it does, you have to take a step back and sit in the awestruck emotions. This shoot was one of those times. Mkenzy walked into my classroom when I was a 9th grade English teacher many years ago. Now, she is a senior in high school and taking the world by charge. She is beauty, strength, and resilience. These photos captured a small glimpse into all that she is, and I am incredibly proud of her.

Sweet baby Kalina was born into the sweetest, most beautiful family. Her older brother will definitely be her biggest protector, and mom and dad are going to spoil her (because let's be honest, who could resist that sweet face?!) So grateful to have captured these sweet moments for the best family.

The kids were having a blast running in the field, sitting in the cozy chairs around the ranch, which made it challenging to capture a still photo - so this year we opted for movement and all things fun. Cynthia had proposed to Ashlee just two weeks back when Ashlee reached out to me, saying she had her ring and was waiting for the right time to propose back... One night, with an hour's notice, Ashlee texted me saying it's go time - and go time it was! I got to the Pearl Springs, after a pit stop to pick up roses and champagne, just before the skies opened up in the most torrential downpour EVER. I warned Ashlee, but she told me she didn't care what the weather was - she was proposing no matter what! And she did exactly that, in the most romantic, "The Notebook"-esque gesture ever.
